Platinum Members: TeamBuildr FAQ

What if I have a question about an exercise?

We now have a dedicated app for all training-related questions for Platinum Members. It’s called Discord. If you missed our original invitation to Discord, text us directly at 925-306-0888 so we can get you set up. Once you’re in, you can ask your training-related questions in our #programmingquestions thread, and we will respond ASAP.

How do I find my program in TeamBuildr?

Once you login to TeamBuildr and you’re on your dashboard page, scroll down to the bottom and you should see your program options at the bottom of the page (in black boxes). Most of you will only have one program. You can also click on the top left menu dropdown and navigate to “Program Library.”

What if I’m unable to do the prescribed exercise?

TeamBuildr has a feature that allows you to “opt out” of an exercise and replace it with another exercise that works better for you (see video link below). Check the exercise notes in TeamBuildr to see if we have already suggested an alternative exercise; otherwise, ask us about it on the #programmingquestions thread in Discord.

What if I do fewer training sessions than the program calls for?

Your assigned program will have between 3-5 days of training each week. If you do fewer training days than your program calls for, that’s OK! All you need to do is decide which days of your program you will repeat week after week for 6 weeks. For example, let’s say my training program has 4 training days each week, but I only train 2 days each week. I decide to do Day 1 and Day 3 of the programming each week, so I skip Day 2 and Day 4 each week.

Sure, you could just follow the training in order, but we know that the more practice you can get doing the same exercises week over week (by repeating the same training days), the better results you’ll see.

You might be asking, “But won’t I miss out on something if I skip some of the training days?” Nope! We’ve written the program to be full-body training each day, covering all major movement patterns and muscle groups. Trust us, we’ve got you covered.

What if I take time off in the middle of a program, or miss a training session?

It’s OK; that’s called life! If you miss a few training sessions in the program, you have two options. (Option 1) You can jump in with where we’re currently at in the programming cycle, meaning you’ll skip over any missed training sessions. (Option 2) You can pick up where you left off. If you do this, the gym’s training schedule will be ahead of yours. This doesn’t cause any issues for us, so long as you’re ok with being slightly behind. You can always restart from the beginning with us at the next 6-week program release.

Remember, the whole point of training is to train. Unless you’re training for an upcoming fitness or lifting event and we’ve been working with you through a highly individualized program, it’s OK to take time off and jump back into the program (wherever we’re at) when you return.

How do I see what weights I lifted last week?

When you are viewing an exercise in TeamBuildr, click on the clock/circular arrow icon in the bottom right of the screen. This will bring up your “History” with that specific exercise, showing you what weights you’ve used in the past, for how many reps, and any notes you wrote with that exercise.

How do I mark my workout as “complete”?

At the end of your training session, hit the “X” button at the bottom of the screen. You will be taken back to your workout summary page. Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Mark Workout Complete”.
